Community Meetings
Join us for our Annual Meeting Tuesday October 15 at Rooftop Grill, 414 W Oak St., 5:30-7:30pm. We’ll enjoy delicious food and elect new board members! Join LACE or Become an Owner of the Grocery to be eligible to run for the board or vote!
If you are interested in running for either board send us an email
We won’t be meeting on October 8.
Once a month we host a community meeting – which is just that, an opportunity for the community to learn more about the Louisville Community Grocery, get involved, and share their voice.
When: Second Tuesday of every month
Time: 5:30 – 7:30 pm
What to Expect
Our community meetings are a welcoming space for everyone, whether you’re a long time supporter or newly learning about the community grocery, whether you live in one of the target neighborhoods or you simply believe in our mission.
During the meeting we give an update on our progress and things that have happened over the past month. We believe transparency is essential to our mission and we want the community to exactly what we are investing our time in each month.
In addition to our progress update, we often discuss special topics, such as the results of a market analysis, the turn out of a recent event, or new information we’ve acquired. Our community meetings typically include a committee breakout session as well.
The committees include: Community Outreach, Market Research, and Finance and Fundraising. You can learn more about our committees and the work they do each month by checking out What is LACE?. Whether you’re a LACE member or not, we invite you to stay for our committee breakout sessions and share your voice.
We hope you’ll join us at our next meeting! If you have questions, don’t hesitate to reach out.
