As we work to open the Louisville Community Grocery, we need volunteers and supporters in many areas. Whether you live in one of the potential communities for the grocery store or you simply believe in our mission, you can join us!
First, take our survey. We use the data we collect to learn more about the shopping habits of the community.
Below are the main ways you can get involved, click through to learn more about each opportunity and let us know you’re interested.
Come to our community meetings
Each month we host a community meeting to update everyone on the progress of the community grocery and talk about next steps we’ll be taking over the next month.
Volunteer with us
We need door knockers, event planners, and tabling volunteers! If you love being out in the community, meeting people, and talking about our mission of opening a community-owned grocery, then this is the role for you.
Louisville Association for Community Economics (LACE) is always looking for new members who believe in the value of cooperative economics and want to see Louisville’s communities transformed. The Louisville Community Grocery is just the first of many opportunities to help start cooperative businesses in Louisville.
Opening the Louisville Community Grocery requires funding to cover the costs of community outreach, business development, the physical building, and tons of other costs that add up over time. You or an organization you are apart of can support the Louisville Community Grocery by fundraising!
