Even with all of our awesome volunteers, we still need money to keep things moving forward. We need money to cover our current costs – printing costs, mailing costs, upfront costs for public events, etc.
As we come nearer to our funding and ownership goals, these donations will help cover survey costs, architectural fees, building permit costs, and other basics to get off the ground.
Support the initiative to start a cooperative grocery in Louisville!
We formed the Louisville Association for Community Economics (LACE) to support our work during this initial phase until we can incorporate the cooperatively-owned grocery business. LACE is a Kentucky nonprofit entity incorporated to provide a legal structure for our organizing efforts. Becoming a member of LACE directly supports the costs associated with organizing the co-op. Donations to LACE are not tax-deductible.
You can also become a member by printing and mailing us your LACE membership form. Please make checks payable to “Louisville Association for Community Economics” :

Suggested membership to LACE is $20, but memberships are accepted on a sliding scale from $5 and up. You can join online, in person at our monthly meetings, or by mailing your check to us.
Please include your NAME, ADDRESS and TELEPHONE NUMBER with your donation. Thank you for supporting our work to build a community-owned grocery store in our community!
